The Financial/Credit analyst is responsible for providing organization and administrative support for the financial operations of the LATAM business and optimizing the order to cash cycle for both LATAM and NAM wholesale activity. This role will take action under the direct supervision of the LATAM FP&A Manager, and indirectly Regional CFO, and will work collaboratively with other members of the Company to ensure operational effectiveness.
Essential duties and requirements:
Financial analyst activities:
Assist with the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts as well as to contribute with the 3- year plans for Latin America's operations, including affiliated companies in Panama, Brazil, Mexico and St. Barths.
Actively engage in Monthly Close Review Process
Review monthly P&L results for completeness and accuracy
- Identify and analyze major variances in Selling, Marketing, and G&A expense categories by Department against budget and prior year, provide correcting entries to accounting as necessary
Provide narrative on significant variances against budget and prior year
Provide detailed expenses and other month end reporting for respective departments
On a quarterly basis provide analysis on balance sheets and reconciliations for the Latin America operations and affiliated companies.
Participate to monthly department P&L reviews attended by Managing Director, Commercial Heads, LATAM FP&A Mgr, and CFO (as available - quarterly)
Address inquiries raised during meetings
Review meetings minutes and distribute to CFO and Managing Director
Construction-In-Progress (CIP) and CapEx Reporting, in working with LATAM, Mgr FP&A:
Review CapEx by Profit/Cost Center and track ongoing against annual budget
Review CapEx requests for submission to Rome/LVMH (C6, DAI submission), make financial recommendations for new boutique openings/renovations, etc...
Address specific needs for key projects through financial monitoring of major project costs and facilitating/discussing with project/dpt owners
Support MD in ad-hoc reporting and analysis, for commercial purposes; daily sales, margin analysis, traffic, conversion, etc.,
Provide information and ad hoc reports concerning budgeting and reporting activities.
Credit risk activities:
Perform credit check and release orders on a daily and contingent basis
Collaborate with other internal departments to resolve credit issues
Support the AR department on reconciliations and posting
Manage disputes, legal cases liaising with different teams
Reduce bad debt, disputes, overdue and target the DSO and Credit Strategy in accordance with Credit Risk policies and mandates
Actively and continuously collaborate with local F&A and proactively support Sales with solutions
Work within mandates and in close collaboration with the Credit Corporate Team
Contribute to the commercial/financial datasheet archive, perform matching with Bureau Van Dijk data base, define credit limits and ratings
Create credit awareness

A degree in Finance, Accounting or relevant years of work experience
1 - 2 years of experience in a similar capacity
Strong analytical and communication skills
Demonstrated skill in dealing with operational departments/individuals
Attention to detail
Ability to multi-task and work independently
Exceptional computer skills (Word, Excel and Powerpoint)
SAP experience preferred
Knowledge of or proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese is a plus
